The system software on the startup disk only functions

If you get an error that says “the system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media” while you are booting up, chances are you did it yourself.

You might have tried replacing the System Folder while booting from a CD.

If you did this, boot from the CD and use the old (maybe deleted copy) Hopefully you didn’t just write ove the old copy and actually backed it up or renamed it.
