Restarting Classic (OS 9) in OS X

September 6th, 2005 by Brandon

Do you have some old programs that run on OS 9 but you are running OS X and have some bugs occassionally?

If you do, you can fix most issues by just restarting the Classic OS 9! To restart Classic, you can do it two ways.

1. Click the 9 in the taskbar at the top right of your screen, near the time and date. If there is no “9″ up there, use #2. After you click the “9″ click “Restart Classic”. Classic will restart at this point.

2. Click the Apple logo in the top left corner of your screen, the click “System Preferences”. After clicking “System Preferences” click the logo with the “9″ that says “Classic”. When the next screen opens, click “Restart” in the bottom left of the screen.

That’s all there is to it!
